I am a collaborative, integrative therapist using the most up-to-date evidence-based practices. This means treatment and sessions will be based on research and my clinical expertise, while being tailored to you and your needs. Clients often describe me as kind, professional, and respectful. You can expect flexibility in sessions, depending on your needs that day. I am also pretty laid-back, so please feel free to bring a snack, wear comfy clothes, and kick off your shoes!

This can be a very stressful and difficult time. Safety first. If your child is having chest pain, shortness of breath, fainting, dizziness, tunnel vision, significant swelling, or has not eaten in 24 hours, please go to the nearest emergency department.
Outside of emergency care, the first step is a full medical evaluation, ideally by a PCP who is comfortable handling eating disorders. Your pediatrician may specialize in eating disorder care, or may have an appropriate referral for you. If not, the University of Michigan Adolescent Medicine team is a good place to start.
Eating disorder recovery requires a team, including caregivers, a psychiatrist, dietitian, therapist, and a great support system. Every person is an important component of a multidisciplinary treatment approach working towards long-term recovery. Please see my Dietitian Referral List for my recommendations on local eating disorder-specialized dietitians.
I also suggest signing up for Feastโs 30-day email educational program at: https://feast-ed.org/feast-30-days/. Additional resources can be found by checking my Eating Disorder Resource list.

Beginning couples counseling can feel overwhelming and anxiety-provoking for many people. My focus is getting to know you and how I can be of service to the relationship, never taking sides between one partner and another.
Our first session will focus on the history of the relationship and your strengths as partners. In subsequent sessions, we will have time to speak one-on-one, discuss concerns, formulate goals, collaborate on out-of-session challenges, and work on communication techniques.
Please see my Relationship Resource List for my book recommendations and helpful online resources.
